Tualatin Valley Symphony
The 2016-2017 Season has ended, and we are planning
great things for 2017-2018 under the baton
and musical direction of Mark Perlman!
Our final concert of the season was presented on:
Sunday, May 21, 2017 at 7:00 p.m.
- Beethoven, Piano Concerto No. 4
Dr. Lilen Chen, Piano
- Nielsen, Symphony No. 1
- Breur, Tualatin Overture (a world premiere)
This final concert of the Tualatin Valley Symphony's 2016-2017 season included three works spanning more than two centuries, including a world premiere. German composer Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 in G major, Op. 58 was premiered privately in 1807, and in a public concert in 1808. The Tualatin Valley Symphony welcomed Dr. Lilin Chen as the pianist for this performance. Danish composer Carl Nielsen's Symphony No. 1 in G minor (Op. 7) had its world premiere in 1894. American composer Arthur Breur's "Tualatin Overture" was premiered on May 21, 2017, by the Tualatin Valley Symphony. Maestro Mark Perlman conducting.
